All staff follow a specific system of teaching dance based on their experiences both as students and staff. Jodi considers her staff a solid unit with specific goals including dance technique, self esteem, and performance skiils.

Jodi received a BFA in dance from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. While at the university, she attended American Dance festival at Duke University. She also attended the American College Dance Festival where her choreography was chosen to represent UWSP. She was honored with two awards at UWSP: The Outstanding Student Choreographer Award and Outstanding Achievement in Dance. Since graduation, Jodi has taught dance locally and is very involved with Stevens Point Area Community Foundation events, providing the choreography for many of the recent productions. She has also attended many festivals and workshops, including Florida's Tampa Bay Dance Festival and the Joel Hall Jazz Dance Convention in Chicago.

 
Click for MoreCharys Hess, is a BA graduate of the University Wisconsin-Stevens Point Theater and Dance department. Hess has studied dance under professionals in the field such as; Jim Moore, Susan Gingrasso, Adrienne Fang, Pamela Luedtke, Joan Karlen, Jeannie Hill, Michael Estanich, Mary Fehrenbach, Jodi Flattoff, Patricia Polzin, and Marilou Meyers. Hess has worked with dance companies such as Susan Marshall and Doug Varone on choreographic, performance and intensive opportunities. Hess’ choreography has been presented and adjudicated at the American College of Dance Festival. Hess’ multi-media work has been showcased in local productions like Dance For Cancer and The Happenings. Site specific work has been presented in local venues as well. Currently Hess is instructing for Jodi Flattoff at Forthcoming Danspace and teaching at Christy's Child Care Center L.L.C. Hess founded the Transcribing Dance Company, a post-modern dance company for professional dancers in June of 2012. She continues to direct, present, and dance with her company to create work revolving around written stories and narration of both past and present.
 
Kayla Dziak, is a senior dance major at UW-Stevens Point.  Dziak recieved her dance training from Forthcoming Danspace in Stevens Point and continues to train at UWSP in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap.  Dziak has performed in the UWSP student produced show Afterimages  2010 and 2011 and the faculty show Danstage 2011 and 2012.

 

Celia Sweet, is enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point as a freshman and will be studying this semester with professor Jeannie Hill.  Sweet hopes to be a part of future productions such as After Images and Danstage.  Sweet has studied an array of dance techniques with professionals such as; Jodi Flatoff, Patricia Polzin, Lindsay Haas, and Charys Hess.  Sweet currently instructs at Forthcoming Danspace for director Jodi Flatoff and is enjoying the opportunity to work with the Transcribing Dance Company.
Betty Ebben,  has worked as a teacher, dancer and choreographer in ballet, modern, theatre, musical theatre and opera.  Included in her teaching credentials are working with Makaroff School of Ballet, Renaissance Arts High School, Lawrence University and Arts Academy, Melee, U.W.S.P. and Conservatory, Stagedoor Manor, public schools and private groups or studios.  She has performed with Flex Ensemble, Oshkosh Grand Opera, Empire State Ballet, Off-Broadway, Dance Midwest, Milwaukee Ballet, and C.W. Ballet, as well as in many musicals.  Choreography background includes works for high schools, Universities, community, semi-professional and professional groups.  Ebben is a 1983 graduate of U.W.S.P.
